Accra:The Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development has presented the sixth edition of its musical theater production, "Showtime!," titled "The Secret of the Garden." This production features 50 students from six schools, accompanied by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event is part of Qatar Foundation's initiative to promote performing arts among pre-university students, focusing on developing their skills in acting, singing, and ensemble performance, as well as building their self-confidence.

Organized by the Student Affairs and Community Engagement team within Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education division, the performance took place at the Pre-University Education Theater and attracted a large audience. "The Secret of the Garden" was a bilingual production in Arabic and English, exploring themes of hope, healing, and transformation.

In a statement on Saturday, Qatar Foundation highlighted "Showtime!" as a crucial platform for enhancing pre-university students' self-confidence and creating lasting memories. The production offers students engagement in the performing arts in Arabic, providing a learning experience that extends beyond the classroom.

Students involved in the production reported significant benefits, including overcoming stage fright and expressing themselves through singing and theatrical performance. It also allowed them to practice Arabic, even for those who do not speak it as their first language.

Participants have noted improvements in their performances and their ability to connect with audiences, expressing a strong attachment to the theatrical experience and the opportunities it offers for learning and creativity. Through "Showtime!," Qatar Foundation aims to blend education with creative practice, bolster the presence of Arabic in contemporary theater, and remain receptive to international artistic influences.
