Doha: Pakistani security forces announced on Tuesday the killing of nine militants during an intelligence-led operation in the country’s northwest.

According to Qatar News Agency, the operation was carried out in Dir District, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and resulted in the elimination of nine armed individuals.

Pakistan’s military has been engaged in an ongoing conflict with militant groups across various regions of the country for several years.
