Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) announced that container volumes moving through Qatari ports increased by approximately 19 percent during August 2023 reaching nearly 119936 containers compared to last July.
The company’s data published on Saturday showed that building and construction materials increased by 31 percent reaching 46075 tons, while livestock shipments witnessed a growth of 215 percent reaching 17231 heads.
The data showed that cars and equipment witnessed a growth of 30 percent reaching 7875 units, whilst general and bulk cargo increased by 160131 tons. The number of cruise ships that docked at Mwani during August 2023 reached 249 ships.
