Doha: The Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has received the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2015 certification, one of the most important global standards for quality management systems, from Bureau Veritas, an international company specializing in the certification and evaluation of quality standards.
According to Qatar News Agency, this achievement reflects the Ministry’s commitment to digital excellence and the development of institutional performance. A ceremony was held at the Ministry’s theater to mark the occasion, attended by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, and a number of senior officials from both sides.
Sarah Anis Al Nahal from Bureau Veritas presented the ISO certificate to HE Dr. Al Nuaimi and Dr. Mona Salem Al Fadhli, Director of the Information Systems Department, in recognition of the department’s progress in building an integrated management system that meets the highest international standards and contributes to supporting the Ministry’s objectives and enhancing the implementation of its digital strategy, particularly those related to the Digital Agenda 2030.
In her remarks during the ceremony, Dr. Mona Al Fadhli expressed her pride in this achievement, which reflects the department’s ability to develop an institutional system based on meticulous planning, continuous monitoring, and ongoing improvement. This enhances the quality of services and raises the level of operational efficiency across the Ministry. She noted that the department underwent rigorous audits by specialized accreditation bodies, demonstrating its full commitment to international requirements, including risk management, customer satisfaction measurement, operational procedure development, and other performance-related standards.
For her part, Mariam Al Rashid, Project Manager and Head of the IT Policies and Quality Department, considered this achievement a culmination of the department’s efforts to keep pace with growing work demands and meet the regulatory standards of this international certification. This was accomplished through adopting best professional practices and implementing comprehensive methodologies that extend to various services provided to schools and cultural attach©s, reflecting the comprehensive scope of the work and its profound impact on the educational system.
The ceremony featured a documentary covering the project’s implementation phases and key milestones, in addition to the efforts exerted by the IT management team of experts and specialists to meet international quality standards.
