Minister of Commerce and Industry Launches Dar Al Sharikat, Responsible for Registering and Licensing Companies in Economic Zones

Doha: HE Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Dar Al Sharikat Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani today inaugurated "Dar Al Sharikat," the entity responsible for registering and licensing companies in the country's economic zones, with the aim of unifying registration and licensing procedures across these zones.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dar Al Sharikat will oversee the registration of companies, their licensing activities, and the maintenance of the public register for the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA), Qatar Science and Technology Park, and Media City Qatar. Additionally, the entity will offer tax and immigration services to registered companies and ensure compliance with labor standards and data protection requirements.

In this context, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Dar Al Sharikat Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani emphasized that consolidating these functions would offer investors a streamlined process for establishing their businesses in the special economic zones. This initiative aims to boost the competitiveness of Qatar's investment climate, aligning with the objectives set forth in Qatar National Vision 2030.

The Advisory Board of Dar Al Sharikat includes HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani as Chairman, HE Chief Executive Officer of Invest Qatar Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, HE Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Free Zones Authority Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani, Chief Executive Officer of the QFC Mansoor Rashid Al Khater, Chief Executive Officer of Media City Qatar Hamad Omar Al-Mannai, and President of Qatar Science and Technology Park Rama Chakaki. Nasser Al Taweel has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Dar Al Sharikat.
