Damascus:A Syrian military personnel was killed, and another was gravely wounded when a landmine exploded while they were working to dismantle explosive remnants of war (ERW) in the Al-Mayadeen area of eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, as reported by Syria's Media and Communications Department at the Defense Ministry.

According to Qatar News Agency, three civilians were injured in two separate landmine explosions in the Daraa countryside on Saturday. The first explosion occurred as two young men were collecting stones in the plains between the cities of Inkhil and Al-Sanamayn, while the second explosion hit a car in the Al-Lajat area east of the province.

The ongoing issue of ERWs continues to take lives across Syria. In late October, six blasts resulted in the deaths of seven people, including three children, and injured 11 others. Additionally, the Defense Ministry announced that two soldiers were killed by a landmine explosion in the Daraa countryside on November 4.
