Kuwait city: HE Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah emphasized the importance of unified action and close coordination among Gulf forces to strengthen maritime security in the region. Speaking at the conclusion of Ittihad 2025, a joint naval exercise hosted by Kuwait’s Naval Force with participation from GCC navies and the GCC Secretariat-General, the minister stated that collective defense efforts form a solid barrier against threats and help reinforce stability across the Gulf.
According to Qatar News Agency, the minister received a detailed briefing on the exercise’s phases, operational scenarios, and joint training on maritime operations and threat-response coordination. He also observed a combined demonstration showcasing high readiness levels.
Kuwait’s Chief of Staff, Lt Gen Khaled Shuraian, commended the professional performance displayed throughout the exercise, noting clear progress in the operational and tactical capabilities of the participating forces.
