Mountain view: Google announced the halting of a new feature in Google Earth that allows AI-generated image creation such that as satellite after only 48 hours of its launch. The decision came following concerns expressed regarding the creation of fake imageries on top of real maps and images and sharing them through other platforms.

According to Qatar News Agency, the company stated that it stopped the feature temporarily to implement stricter security control after being alerted of AI-generated images that don't meet the company's policies. Google confirmed during the launch that its model prevents creating unwanted content, but the recent halting resulted the company to readjust protection measures.
