Rabat, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, today participated, along with Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, and Khalid bin Salman bin Jabr Al Musallam, Bahraini Ambassador to Morocco, in the plenary session of the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Boards of Governors, currently held in Marrakech, Morocco.
Aziz Akhannouch, Morocco’s Prime Minister, took part in the session, which was also attended by Ajay Banga, WBG President, and Kristalina Georgieva, IMF Managing Director, as well as Member States’ finance ministers and central bank governors, in addition to private sector’s senior officials.
Held as part of the 2023 WBG-IMF annual meetings, the plenary session discussed global economic issues, in addition to ways to accelerate the pace of achieving sustainable development goals.
