Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, in Cairo to discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Presidency released a statement indicating that President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt's commitment to restoring security and stability in the region. He reiterated Egypt's unwavering support for the unity and territorial integrity of Iraq.

El-Sisi expressed solidarity with Iraq as it navigates regional challenges, praising the collaboration between Egyptian and Iraqi security forces. He also acknowledged the efforts of both the State of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government in promoting peace and stability.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed gratitude for Egypt's supportive role in the region and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with Egyptian institutions to further enhance peace and stability.
