Egypt Condemns Israeli Airstrikes on Syria, UNRWA Clinic in Gaza

Doha: Egypt has strongly condemned Israel’s latest airstrikes on multiple sites in Syria, calling them a blatant violation of international law and an assault on Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Thursday, the Egyptian foreign ministry accused Israel of exploiting Syria’s internal situation and urged international actors to take responsibility for curbing Israel’s repeated violations. It also called for Israel to end its occupation of Syrian territories and respect the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Egypt also denounced Israel’s attack on a UNRWA clinic in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, which killed and injured dozens of Palestinians. The ministry described the strike as a flagrant breach of international law and humanitarian law.

It further condemned Israel’s deliberate targeting of UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, and medical facilities, saying such actions reflect a blatant disregard for international law. It criticized the international community’s silence, urging global powers to abandon double standards and take action to end Israel’s conduct.
