Bahraini, Saudi tourism cooperation highlighted

London, Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia met with Dr. Nasser Qaedi, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), on the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM) London.

The meeting discussed means to further develop joint tourism and to promote the two kingdoms regionally and internationally as a single tourist destination

BTEA CEO commended the deep-rooted historic relations between between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Qaedi noted that Bahraini-Saudi tourism cooperation continued to grow, with increased investment gains and doubled incoming tourism.

The two countries are enhancing bilateral cooperation, increasing foreign investment flow, and establishing quality tourism projects, he said.

He said tourism was a promising sector for both countries’ national economies, adding that they continue to consolidate their position in this sector by developing innovative tourism facilities and services.

The Saudi Tourism Minister and the CEO of BTEA welcomed the agreement with Flynas to launch direct flights between Riyadh and Manama starting from November 15 which would enhance tourism between the two countries.
