HH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud affirmed the move to achieve the interests of the Arab peoples and preserve their rights, and not allow the region to turn into fields of conflict, pointing out that the Arab world possesses civilizational and cultural elements, as well as human and natural resources for it to be an important player with a comprehensive renaissance.
His Highness was giving a speech at the 32nd regular session of the Arab League Council at the summit level. He chaired the 32nd summit on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The Saudi Crown Prince said that the Palestinian cause is at Saudi Arabia's top priorities and is the central issue of Arabs and Muslims. He added that the Kingdom spares no effort in supporting the brotherly Palestinian people to recover their land, restore their legitimate rights, and establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the Palestinian lands, within the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and other agreed upon international references, in a way that achieves the aspirations of The brotherly Palestinian people.
On Sudan, he expressed hope that dialogue will prevail to maintain the unity of Sudan and the security of its people. He welcomed the signing of the Jeddah Declaration by the parties of the conflict, which saw them commit to protecting civilians and facilitate humanitarian work.
He concluded his speech by confirming the Kingdom's position in support of everything that contributes to reducing the intensity of the crisis in Ukraine, the non-deterioration of the humanitarian situation, readiness to continue mediation efforts between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, and support for all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis politically, in a way that contributes to achieving security and peace.
