A child died as a result of being wounded by occupation bullets in Aqabat Jabr camp

Jericho – Ma’an – The child Muhammad Al-Bitar (17 years old) died as a result of his wounds yesterday, shot by the Israeli occupation forces, in Aqabat Jabr camp.

The occupation forces stormed the Aqabat Jabr camp yesterday and shot two children while they were near the western cemetery in the camp, which led to the death of the child, Ahmed Ashraf Walid Hamidat (16 years old), and the wounding of Al-Bitar, before he was arrested and ambulance crews were prevented from reaching him.

The occupation forces transferred Al-Bitar to one of his hospitals in Jerusalem, before announcing today that he had died from his critical injury.

The general strike took place in Aqabat Jabr camp, south of Jericho, to mourn the souls of the martyrs.

With the martyrdom of the child Al-Bitar, the number of martyrs since October 7, 2023, rises to 521 citizens, including 131 children, and 5,000 others were injured in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
