New York: Major stock indices on Wall Street closed lower at the end of Tuesday’s trading session.

According to Qatar News Agency, the S and P 500 lost 22.61 points, or 0.38%, to end at 5,940.74 points, while the Nasdaq Composite lost 72.75 points, or 0.38%, to 19,142.71. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 114.89 points, or 0.26%, finishing at 42,677.18.
