Gaza – Together – The Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Catherine Russell, said that the scale and pace of destruction in the Gaza Strip is shocking.
Russell confirmed on the ‘X’ platform that ‘the Gaza war caused the death of more than 13,000 children and the injury of countless people.’
She pointed out that “the war caused the deaths of teachers, doctors and humanitarian workers.”
The UN official called for a ceasefire in Gaza now, especially since homes, schools and hospitals were destroyed, warning that famine in Gaza was imminent.
