Gaza: Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Alexander De Croo affirmed that the scale of destruction in the Gaza Strip is unimaginable and that the human losses are immense.
According to Qatar News Agency, De Croo expressed on the X platform that it was a heavy and emotional day in Gaza, emphasizing the unimaginable scale of destruction and the immense human toll. He noted the resilience of the Palestinian people as a significant aspect of the current situation.
He further mentioned that the UNDP is actively on the ground, providing assistance to the Palestinian people and initiating early recovery efforts. Despite these efforts, he stressed that additional actions are necessary to address the situation comprehensively.
The report highlighted that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has climbed to 72,063 martyrs, with 171,726 wounded since October 7, 2023.
