Zelensky is scheduled to hold discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Governor General of Canada Mary Simon. He will also deliver a speech before the Canadian Parliament to discuss mobilizing military support for Ukraine.

In his comment, the Canadian Prime Minister stressed that his country will remain alongside Ukraine and will continue to provide support to the Ukrainian people.

This is the first official visit by the Ukrainian president to Canada since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war in February 2022.

Since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Canada has pledged more than USD 8.9 billion to support Ukraine through a wide range of measures, including USD 4.95 billion in direct financial support and more than USD 1.8 billion in military aid. (QNA)
