Ukraine Successfully Repels Russian Drone Attack Involving 43 Drones

KYIV: Ukraine announced that it had successfully repelled a Russian drone attack involving 43 drones, with debris causing damage to residential homes in the Kharkiv region in the east and the Odessa region in the south.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ukrainian Air Force stated that its air defenses managed to shoot down 21 of the 43 drones launched by Russia overnight across six different regions of the country. The statement also noted that 22 other drones went missing during the attack, which was countered in the airspace of eight regions within Ukraine. However, the statement did not specify whether there were any human or material losses or reveal the targeted locations.

Drone warfare between Russia and Ukraine has been a significant aspect of the ongoing conflict that began in February 2022. The continued fighting occurs amid stalled peace efforts, with both sides exchanging divergent demands that further complicate the security and humanitarian situation in the region.
