UAE Vice President directs urgent food aid to Lebanon

Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, has directed the provision of urgent food aid to the people of Lebanon through the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). This aid aims to help address the severe humanitarian challenges Lebanon is facing due to the ongoing crisis.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), 250,000 people in Lebanon will benefit from this urgent assistance, which will be distributed in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of the MBRGI, emphasised that the aid reflects the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to support Arab countries in need and provide essential resources during difficult times.

Earlier in October, the UAE launched a nationwide relief campaign titled ” UAE Stands
with Lebanon,” which runs until October 21, involving participation from the public, institutions, and both government and private entities.
