Doha:Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium UAE coach Zlatko Dalic has expressed his team's determination to secure a victory against Oman in the 27th Gulf Cup semi-finals scheduled for tomorrow. The match will take place at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium, where both teams will vie for a spot in the finals.
According to Qatar News Agency, Dalic emphasized that the UAE team has prepared thoroughly, analyzing Oman's recent performances, particularly their comeback victory against Kuwait. Oman managed to overturn a one-goal deficit to achieve a 3-1 win over Kuwait, securing their place in the semi-finals.
Dalic praised his team's focus and performance throughout the tournament, highlighting the competitive nature of the Gulf Cup. He noted that winning the title would require sustained effort and concentration, and stressed the importance of controlling the match against the formidable Omani side.
On the other side, Oman coach Tarik Sektioui stated that his players are both physically and mentally prepared for the semi-final clash. He reflected on the challenges Oman had overcome to reach this stage, which he believes has strengthened the team's resolve to advance further. Sektioui anticipates a difficult and evenly matched contest against the UAE.
He also spoke about the resilience instilled in his players by Omani football, advising a balanced approach to expectations regarding the team's young talents. While acknowledging the UAE's strength, Sektioui expressed confidence in Oman's improving performance with each match, suggesting they could deliver a strong showing in the semi-final.
