Doha: Somali security forces on Wednesday killed two leaders of Al-Qaeda linked Al Shabaab movement in an airstrike in Lower Shabeelle province in southern Somalia.

According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that the airstrike was carried out by Somali army in the Jambaluul area of Lower Shabeelle province. The operation resulted in the deaths of two prominent leaders of the movement.
