According to Qatar News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready, under certain conditions, to accept a ceasefire in Ukraine and sign a comprehensive peace agreement. Fidan further pointed out that the Ukrainian side has been informed of this, and that Turkiye is involved in certain aspects of this process.

In addition, Fidan elaborated that the ongoing discussions on the peace deal are not only intended to end the war in Ukraine, but hold immense significance in achieving enduring stability across the entire Europe. He stressed the importance of conducting a detailed and close study of some items of the US-pitched deal to end the war in Ukraine to ensure European security.

Fidan further demanded that the anticipated accord should include outright pledges on the part of any party to never stage an attack on the other regardless of the reasons. He clarified that should an agreement be reached in this regard, peace could be achieved in the region for over 70 years.
