Manama, Mona Al Maaloul, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Tunisia to Bahrain, affirmed that Bahrain’s hosting of the 33rd Arab Summit in May 2024, indicates its significant role in supporting and developing joint Arab action.
She expressed optimism that the Bahrain Summit, amidst regional challenges, would yield decisions beneficial to neighboring countries and aligned with the aspirations of Arab peoples.
Al Maaloul reiterated her country’s support for collective Arab endeavours, particularly emphasising the Palestinian people’s right to statehood as a top priority.
She elaborated that the 2024 Bahrain Summit builds upon the principles agreed upon during the 2019 Tunisia Summit, adapting these principles to current regional and international dynamics.
The ambassador stressed the crucial timing of the Arab Summit in light of the ongoing Israeli war, urging decisive resolutions to prompt international action to pressue Israel to comply with UN resolutions, last was of which was resolution 2728.

erscored the significance of the annual Arab Summit as a vital platform for Arab leaders to address regional and international issues, notably the Palestinian cause, and address challenges across various Arab countries, with the aim of finding collective solutions and unified Arab stances.
