Riyadh:Three Saudi nationals lost their lives, and several others were injured in two separate attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport and a Saudi Airlines aircraft.
According to Qatar News Agency, the attacks occurred on Thursday, as announced by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation. This information was released by the Saudi Press Agency on Friday.
The authority reported that the attacks resulted in injuries to both Saudi citizens and foreign residents, with injuries ranging from minor to serious. Material damage was also sustained during the incidents.
Despite the attacks, airport operations have resumed, and air traffic has returned to normal. The authority is collaborating with security agencies to assess the damages and implement measures to ensure the safety and security of Saudi Arabia's civil aviation system.
