The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, recalled the Anfal crime, stressing that it is an occasion that calls for solidarity.

Rashid said in a tweet on Twitter: “We remember with great sadness the anniversary of the Anfal crime committed by the dictatorship against the Kurdish people through campaigns of genocide and mass graves that embodied the tyranny practiced against the Iraqis.”

He added: “This painful occasion calls for solidarity to consolidate a democratic state that fulfills the aspirations of the people for a dignified and safe life and prevents the recurrence of tragedies.”/ End
