Members of the Preparatory Committee for the Palestine Conference on Cybersecurity met, on Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in the presence of Minister Dr. M. Isaac Sidr, to follow up on the progress of preparations for the conference.
The Chairman of the Preparatory Committee and the General Coordinator of the Conference, Dr. Islam Amr, reviewed the general axes of the conference, and the members of the Committee agreed on the main tracks of policy and scientific dialogue sessions, technical and training lectures.
For his part, Minister Sidr stressed the importance of keeping pace with the global technological and digital development, and national information protection techniques, to prevent attacks by hackers and electronic attacks and to publish contents that threaten Palestinian national security.
This conference comes within the framework of the activities of "Jerusalem, the Arab Digital Capital for 2023", and the committee's commitment to achieving digital integration and a sustainable and safe digital transformation, and out of keenness to spread awareness about cybersecurity and promote a culture of digital security in Palestine and the Arab world.
The Palestine Cybersecurity Conference (PCSC 2023) will be held in early November 2023 and seeks to enhance cooperation, exchange knowledge, develop skills, and raise awareness among professionals in the field of cybersecurity, researchers, students, and those interested in the field, and communicate with international partners.
In addition to discussing policies, strategies, and legal frameworks, and introducing current and future risks and threats in the virtual world.
The conference will last for two days, with each day including two sessions and an exhibition on cybersecurity. Working papers, research and scientific talks will be presented within a group of conference areas, and workshops will be held on the sidelines.
Note that a national competition in cybersecurity (CyberDrill) will be held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and there will also be a selection of the best scientific paper that addresses the reality of Palestine in cybersecurity
