the Israeli occupation authorities will hold a trial session for the prisoner Ahmed Manasra, who is isolated in “Ayalon” prison.
The Prisoner’s Club, quoting lawyer Khaled Zabarqa, said today, Tuesday, that the court session will be held at 8:30 a.m. in Ramla, to consider the matter of extending the solitary confinement of prisoner Manasra, at the request of the prison administration.
Lawyer Zabarqa indicated that the current isolation order for prisoner Ahmed Al-Manasra expires on September 18.
Prisoner Manasra spent two years in solitary confinement cells, which worsened his psychological and health condition over time.
Medical reports confirmed that “Ahmed” suffered from schizophrenia as a result of the harsh treatment he was subjected to at an early age. As a result, an international campaign was launched in support of him and to demand his immediate release, but the occupation authorities refuse to do so.
The occupation forces arrested Ahmed Manasra on October 12, 2015, when he was 13 years old, after he was shot with his cousin Hassan (he was martyred on the same day), and he was subjected to a harsh investigation.
In 2016, the occupation accused Manasra of attempted murder, and he was sentenced to 12 years in prison, although he denied the accusations against him
