The occupation imposes a curfew on Deir Istiya and closes shops

On Friday, the Israeli occupation forces imposed a curfew on the town of Derastiya, northwest of Salfit, and closed shops.

The mayor of Derastiya, Firas Dhiyab, said: ‘The Israeli occupation forces stormed the town, amidst the firing of sound bombs, announced a curfew, and asked all shop owners to close their doors. The Israeli occupation forces also asked citizens not to go to perform Friday prayers via loudspeakers.’

The Israeli occupation forces deployed a number of Israeli military patrols at the entrance to the town under the pretext of throwing stones at settler vehicles passing on the street near the town entrance
