On the fourth and last Friday of the month of Ramadan, the occupation authorities isolated Al-Aqsa and the Old City from their surroundings, amid an influx of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation authorities deployed more than 3,500 members of their forces in the streets of Jerusalem and on the roads leading to Al-Aqsa and inside the Old City, and at the gates of the mosque in particular.
The forces closed many roads in the nearby neighborhoods leading to Al-Aqsa (Sheikh Jarrah, Al-Sawwanah, and Wadi Al-Jouz), and closed the streets surrounding Old Jerusalem to the movement of vehicles and buses (Bab Al-Sahira, Sultan Suleiman, Nablus Street, Salah Al-Din Street, Bab Al-Amoud, and Al-Musrara, and designated Special roads for buses carrying worshipers, and special roads for pedestrians through barriers and iron barricades.
The occupation forces arrested the young men, ghosted them, and checked their identities before allowing them to enter the Old City and Al-Aqsa.
