The Horizon Foundation staff meets with the Governor of Bethlehem

Bethlehem – The Governor of Bethlehem received in his office the staff of the Horizon Foundation for Youth Development, represented by Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman and Mr. Nizar Al-Issa.

The delegation briefed the governor on the ‘Preparedness and Response’ initiative funded by ActionAid, to study the activities that could be implemented, in cooperation with the relevant institutions in the Bethlehem Governorate, especially the municipality and institutions of the town of Tuqu’, the Civil Defense, and the Red Crescent. The meeting took place in the presence of His Excellency Governor Abu Alia and the governorate staff.

During the meeting, the governor’s delegation was briefed on the importance of this initiative, which contributes to the effective and organized response of Palestinian youth regarding emergency situations, especially in the town of Tuqu’, which has recently been subjected to many attacks, practices, and harassment by settlers and occupation soldiers.

It should be noted that the initiative will focu
s on preparing a group of young people from the town of Tuqu as an emergency committee to deal with any event within the town, through a series of practical and theoretical training.

In turn, the governor stressed the importance of the initiative and the governorate’s readiness to overcome all obstacles and provide all possible facilities to make it successful.

For its part, the ‘Al Ofoq’ delegation thanked the governor and the governorate’s staff for their cooperation, welcome, and willingness to cooperate in the service of the homeland and the citizen, emphasizing Alofoq’s message of always seeking to harness its capabilities and staff in order to improve the development reality at all levels, especially with regard to the Palestinian youth sector.
