His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Fahd Al-Khater, Director of the Policy and Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met separately in Seoul today with His Excellency Mr. Lee Joon-gyu, President of the Asan Institute for Political Studies, and His Excellency Mr. Sang Hyun Lee, President of the Sejong Institute of the Republic of Korea.

During the two meetings, they discussed Qatar’s foreign politics and experience related to areas of Korean interest, as well as the Republic of Korea’s regional and international political priorities in light of the election of a new government.

The Asan Institute for Political Studies is specialized in conducting policy-related studies and research to enhance the local, regional and international environments to achieve peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Whilst the Sejong Institute focuses on conducting studies and research to promote national and social development, as well as working on studies related to the security of the Korean Peninsula.
