The Ministry of Culture announced its participation in the 34th edition of the Tehran International Book Fair, which kicks off on Wednesday and continues until May 21, 2023.
The participation of the State of Qatar in the book fair, which is considered one of the prominent international book fairs, comes within the framework of enhancing the cultural and intellectual relations between Qatar and Iran.
Director of the Libraries Department at the Ministry of Culture and Director of the Doha International Book Fair Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain stated that the Qatari participation in the Tehran International Book Fair aims to build new relationships with workers in the field of culture and publishing industry, in addition to presenting Qatari intellectual production to Qatari publishing houses and holding meetings with the Tehran International Book Fair officials, the Doha International Book Fair, and Iranian publishing houses to discuss aspects of cooperation in authoring, translation and publishing.
Al Buainain added that the distinguished participation of the Ministry of Culture aims to present the various and new publications of the Ministry in the various sciences of knowledge, including novels, law, social and human sciences, as well as the distinguished publications of children’s and youth books.
It is worth noting that the State of Qatar participated as a guest of honor in the 33rd edition of the Tehran International Book Fair.
