Syrian Army Takes Control of Ashrafieh District, Advances Towards Sheikh Maqsoud

Aleppo: The Syrian Army has taken control of the Ashrafieh and Bani Zeid districts and is advancing towards the Sheikh Maqsoud district after fierce battles with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Meanwhile, Internal Security Forces have begun deploying within the Ashrafieh district and have taken control of the Lairamoun factories.

According to Qatar News Agency, residents of these districts have cooperated with the army to surrender their homes. Dozens of SDF members surrendered, while others fled to the Sheikh Maqsoud district.

In parallel with the military operations, the Aleppo Central Response Committee opened 10 temporary shelters within the city, in addition to centers in Afrin and Azaz in the northern countryside.

The Health Directorate has taken charge of transferring critical cases to public and private hospitals.

Two humanitarian corridors were also opened to ensure the safe exit of 142,000 displaced people, in cooperation with the traffic police, the transport directorate, and social affairs, to ensure their safety, while continuing to monitor the field situation and coordinate efforts between the relevant authorities.
