Bern, The Swiss voters are casting final ballots on Sunday to choose their next legislature, amid expectations that the Swiss People’s Party will gain 28.1% of the vote.
More than a million eligible voters have already cast their vote as 90% of the people prefer to vote by mail rather than in person. Parliament is elected in its two chambers, the National Council and the Council of States.
The list of the largest parties in Switzerland includes the Swiss People’s Party, the Social Democratic Party, the Free Democratic Party of Switzerland and the Christian Democratic People’s Party CVP, formerly known as the Christian Democratic Party and currently referred to as “The Centre.”
