Noor bint Ali Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, met Navid Hanif, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Development in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), on the sidelines of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2023 Summit.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and the UN and areas of capacity building, especially with regard to strengthening data systems and national statistical capacity.

The meeting also highlighted Bahrain’s progress in the field of preparing the unified framework for environmental, social and governance standards.
