A total of 11 students from the Public Health Department of College of Health Science member of QU-Health at Qatar University (QU), presented their research graduation projects. Most of those students will graduate in Spring 2021 which is the sixth cohort of Public Health Bachelor’s degree graduates.
Ms. Keram Rimah and Ms. Reham Zamel presented their research project entitled “Knowledge, attitude and practices about breast cancer self-examination among health cluster students in Qatar University” which was supervised by Dr Ahsan Sethi. Dr Ghadir Aljayyousi supervised the project of Ms. Retaj Awad, and Ms. Maha AlQashoti, which was a systematic review about tobacco cessation programs and factors associated with their effectiveness in the Middle East. Another project was supervised by Dr Mohammed Fasih Alam which was presented by Ms. Dana Al Sulaiti, and Ms. Fatima Alhabshi who were interested in exploring newborn hearing loss screening through a systematic review. Dr Alam also supervised the project entitled “Colorectal cancer screening and its impact on incidence and mortality: a systematic review”. The project was presented by Ms. Ayah El Sakka and Ms. Alanood Al marri. Finally, Ms. Raghad Saeed, Ms. Usra El Shaikh and Ms. Rayan Sheikh investigated the barriers and facilitators to mental health help-seeking behaviors among older adults through a systematic review of quantitative studies. This project was supervised by Dr Diana Alsayed Hassan.
