State General Budget Records QAR 5.3 Billion Deficit in Q4 2025

Doha: The Ministry of Finance announced Thursday that the State's general budget recorded a deficit of QAR 5.3 billion during the fourth quarter of 2025, which was financed through debt instruments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry revealed on its social media platform X that total revenues during the quarter amounted to approximately QAR 51.607 billion, marking a 6 percent increase compared to the same quarter of 2024. Total expenditures reached approximately QAR 56.904 billion, reflecting a 19.1 percent increase compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024.

The statement detailed that oil revenues during the fourth quarter of 2025 totaled QAR 46.428 billion, while non-oil revenues amounted to QAR 5.179 billion.

The Ministry of Finance further indicated that expenditures during the same quarter were distributed as follows: QAR 17.624 billion for salaries and wages, QAR 22.101 billion for current expenditures, QAR 15.526 billion for major capital expenditures, and QAR 1.653 billion for minor capital expenditures.
