The solution to international disputes should be based on the principle of indivisibility of security, and on the basis of the principles of the United Nations Charter, including the situation in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed.
Lavrov’s remarks came at a press conference with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto in Caracas cited by RT website.
“Let us recall the recent statements of representatives of the Zelensky regime who demanded the return of Crimea and threatened, or rather gladly vowed, that as soon as this happens, they will destroy the Russian language and Russian culture in Crimea, and make Ukrainian and world culture dominate there,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov added ” I am convinced that these demagogic statements are understandable, and their purpose and meaning is understandable.”
Lavrov stressed that no country should enhance its security at the expense of others and create threats to anyone.
On the other hand, Lavrov said: “Washington has flagrantly misused the status of the host country for the United Nations headquarters after hesitating to issue entry visas to all members of the Russian delegation that will participate in a meeting of the UN Security Council in New York.”
Lavrov made it clear that Washington did not explain in any way its actions in the issue of visa issuance.
