Snap has entered into an expanded partnership with Google Cloud to power generative AI experiences within Snapchats My AI chatbot.
The integration of ‘Gemini AI’ into My AI’s chatbot is expected to lead to significant improvements in performance and broader capabilities than before.
Snapchat had launched its users’ My AI chatbot in 2023 supported by OpenAI GPT models. However, upgrading to Gemini will make the AI able to understand and work with text, photos and videos, and will also help increase users’ interaction with the AI daily.
In this context, CEO of Snapchat Evan Spiegel, said in a press release “This partnership with Google Cloud reinforces everything that’s so important to serving our community. Snap is all about empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.
