Shura Chairman praises council’s high technical capabilities

Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, affirmed continuous support for the use of digital technology to drive efficiency in conducting all efforts and tasks related to legislative work, in order to accomplish further achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Al Saleh expressed his appreciation for HM the King’s directives to continue developing the work of the legislative branch.

He said that the success achieved by the legislative branch in using digital systems was a result of ongoing coordination with the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Shura Chairman spoke in a meeting with Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Council and the council’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Committee chairman and members, after the Shura Council won the Digital Government Award for the Arab States 2023, organized by the International Excellence Foundation (IEF), based in Florida – US, in the Remote Government Work category.

Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of Shura Council, was present.

He praised the distinguished efforts made by the General Secretariat’s employees that contributed to the continuity of the Council’s work, the holding of its sessions and committee meetings during the Covid-19 pandemic.
