Saudi team holds meetings on humanitarian issues in Yemen

Building upon the Saudi Initiative announced in March 2021 and the positive momentum created by the humanitarian truce in Yemen since it was announced by the United Nations on April 2, 2022, a Saudi delegation, headed by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Yemen Mohammad Al Jabir, held a number of meetings in Sanaa during the period 17-22 Ramadan, 1444 Hijri, corresponding to 8-13 April 2023, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

?The meetings included in-depth discussions of a number of issues related to the humanitarian situation, including the release of all prisoners of war, reaching a cease-fire, and a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.

?The discussions were transparent, positive, and constructive. Due to the need for further discussions, these engagements will resume as soon as possible, with the aim of achieving a comprehensive and sustainable political solution in Yemen that is accepted by all Yemeni parties.
