Moscow: Russia and Ukraine exchanged announcements about downing drones, at a time when the conflict between the two countries has been ongoing since Feb. 24, 2022.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ukrainian authorities announced that its air defenses shot down or destroyed 747 of the 818 Russian drones in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.

For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that its air defense systems intercepted 96 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions overnight.

Since the war began, now in its third year, both Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily reports asserting successful defenses against each other’s attacks. These claims remain unverified by independent sources due to the ongoing war and continuous fighting since Feb. 24, 2022.
