Russia Targets Ukrainian Cargo Ships in Odesa and Mykolaiv Ports

Moscow: Russia has destroyed two Ukrainian cargo ships that were reportedly transporting weapons and ammunition for Ukrainian forces, according to an announcement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The targeted ships were located at the ports of Odesa and Mykolaiv.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense also reported the destruction of warehouses containing Ukrainian military equipment during the operation. The statement emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces are continuing to focus on vessels and port infrastructure utilized by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On a related note, the Russian Armed Forces had previously targeted three cargo ships and two oil tankers at the port of Odesa on Sunday, claiming these were used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine sees continuous military operations by both sides, with each issuing daily statements on military activities and outcomes that remain challenging to verify independently.
