Russia Announces Intercepting 26 Ukrainian Missiles and 49 Drones in Past 24-Hours

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces had successfully intercepted 26 missiles and 49 drones, and destroyed five tanks, three electronic warfare stations, 11 ammunition depots, and an armored vehicle on the fighting fronts in Ukraine over the past 24 hours.

In a statement on the progress of military operations in Ukraine, the ministry said its forces also managed to repel several attacks on various battlefronts and eliminate 1,935 Ukrainian soldiers during the same period.

Earlier today, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its forces had taken control of a railway station in the Donetsk region.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday that Ukrainian forces had taken control of more than 1,250 square kilometers and 92 residential areas in the Kursk region of Russia.

Zelensky urged Ukraine’s allies to allow it to carry out strikes with Western weapons deep inside Russia, stating that the prohibition is the main reason why Ukrainian forces have
been unable to halt the advance of Russian troops along the eastern front.
