Russia and Ukraine Exchange Fresh Attacks Amid Ongoing Conflict

Doha: Russia and Ukraine reported fresh attacks on Wednesday, with Moscow saying it struck Ukrainian military ports and logistics sites, while Kyiv said Russian drone strikes damaged fuel stations in the Sumy region.

According to Qatar News Agency, Russia's Defense Ministry stated that its forces had targeted Ukrainian ports and vessels involved in transporting military supplies to the Ukrainian armed forces. The ministry added that the strikes also hit military equipment storage facilities and fuel and lubricant depots used by Ukrainian forces.

Russia's state news agency Sputnik reported that Russian forces destroyed more than 70 ammunition, fuel, and military supply storage sites in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region.

Ukraine, meanwhile, said two fuel stations in the Sumy region were damaged in Russian drone attacks. Ukraine's state news agency Ukrinform reported that Russian drones continued to target fuel facilities in the region, adding that there were no immediate reports of casualties, according to preliminary information.

Russia and Ukraine have intensified long-range drone and missile attacks in recent months, frequently targeting energy infrastructure, military facilities, and other strategic sites.
