Raids and arrests campaign in the West Bank

Bethlehem – Ma’an – The occupation forces launched a campaign of raids and arrests in the West Bank this morning and at dawn on Sunday.

Since yesterday evening until Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation forces have arrested at least 15 citizens from the West Bank, including former prisoners.

The Prisoners Club and the Commission of Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs said in a joint statement that the arrests were distributed across the governorates of Hebron, Tubas, Ramallah, and Jerusalem. In addition, the occupation forces carried out field investigations with a group of citizens in the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, most of whom were later released.

The statement explained that the occupation continues to carry out wide-scale raids and abuse, accompanied by severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens’ homes.

The statement indicated that the number of arrests after October 7th amounted to more than (9550), and thi
s number includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
