Qatar University (QU) will organize its Annual Opening Convocation for the Academic Year 2022 on Wednesday, 31 August 2022, which will include a welcome speech by QU President Dr. Hassan Al-Derham. During the event, a number of awards will be distributed to individuals who have distinguished themselves in the academic, administrative and community service fields.
The QU convocation will honor outstanding faculty, staff and alumni. The awards include the following categories:
• University Awards for Academic Excellence, which includes: The Academic Excellence Award, The Teaching Excellence Award and the Excellence in Community Service Award.
• Distinguished Graduate Award
• Distinguished Media Contribution Award
This annual event is an important occasion in which the different entities in QU review their most important achievements from the past year and honor distinguished members of their academic cadres and staff.
