Doha, The College of Business and Economics (CBE) at Qatar University (QU) announced the launch of its new Master of Science (MSc) in Business Analytics program (MSBA). This applications-oriented graduate program is designed to address the increasing demand for professionals with advanced analytical skills in the era of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
As industries increasingly rely on large volumes of data to drive decision-making, the need for skilled analysts who can convert this data into actionable intelligence is more critical than ever.
The dean of the CBE Professor Rana Sobh emphasized the importance of this program, aligning it with the vision and strategic plan of QU as well as being consistent with Qatar National Vision 2030 in terms of economic and social development. The program aims to provide the necessary qualifications to support local Qatari institutions.
The program offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary curriculum that is particularly relevant in sectors heavily reliant on data, such as energy, insurance, healthcare, finance, and marketing.
The Master of Science (MSc) in Business Analytics program includes 30 credit hours that focus on developing leadership and evidence-based decision-making skills. Students will gain hands-on experience in data visualization, statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning using the latest technologies.
The program offers two tracks: a research track and a consulting track.
Renowned faculty with extensive industry and academic experience in business analytics and data mining will teach the program. The program is an ideal choice for those looking to start a new career or advance in their current role in the burgeoning field of data-driven decision-making.
