QSE Index Gains 10.72 Points at Start of Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a modest gain of 10.72 points, or 0.10%, at the start of Sunday's trading. The index rose to 10,292 points compared to the previous session's close, driven by positive performances in three key sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Industrials sector led the gains with an increase of 0.55%, followed by the Real Estate sector, which was up by 0.32%, and the Banks and Financial Services sector, which saw a slight rise of 0.02%. In contrast, the Consumer Goods and Services sector experienced a minor decline of 0.02%, while the Telecoms sector fell by 0.10%. The Insurance and Transportation sectors saw more significant declines of 0.40% and 0.65%, respectively.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 44.893 million, with 20.604 million shares exchanged across 2,409 transactions, reflecting a dynamic start to the trading day.
